I've read alot good things about the Gorilla Winch. I have not actually owned one, but several owners have posted pretty good feedback about them on several atv forums.
What really stood out for me is their warranty. Totally the opposite of the crap from xtreme (junk) winch.
REMEMBER, XTREME WINCH HAS NO WARRANTY-READ THEIR FINE PRINT!!!!

Xtreme Winch = Xtreme Junk
Here's the latest. Just had 8" + snowfall . Used my H.F. winch on my snowplow & it worked great. This thing cost me $49.00 & I have a 2 1/2 year , full replacement warranty. Looks like I won't need the warranty, but just in case, it's there.
No comparison to that piece of crap Xtreme Winch I got ripped off on.
When I contacted Xtreme Recovery (see e-mails below) for my warranty service they stated "Oh we get this alot this time of year" , well Duh, wonder why they don't get snow related calls in July. They stated the destruction of their junk winch was caused by "cable slack".
My nice little H.F. winch has a retainer tab that keeps the cable on the spool.
It also has a much more powerful motor than the xtreme junk winch.
Just for reference, My driveway is asphalt, a little over 300 yards long, and is on a very steep hill. Plowing this drive is no small task.
Just a final reminder, Don't get scammed by Xtreme Recovery / Xtreme Winch on Ebay. Another known name they use is PowerSource LLC
